Unitarian Universalism is a loving, free
faith that grew out of the Protestant Reformation into today’s
embracing, inclusive religion that includes many different
beliefs and spiritual paths. It’s historical roots can still
be identified in its name – Unitarian, meaning one who affirms
the unity of all existence, and Universalist, one who believes
in universal love and salvation, or the idea that all souls
will be saved. But in its present incarnation, Unitarian
Universalism has love, compassion and justice at its heart,
affirms the diversity and interconnectedness of all life, and
is a faith of “deeds not creeds.” We draw on many resources
for inspiration, and encourage each person on their spiritual
path to seek in loving community the answers to questions of
ultimate meaning that have perplexed humanity since the
beginning of time. For more about the history of our faith,
